John is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan and holds a Master's Degree in Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering from The University of Detorit Mercy.  John has over 30 years of experience, 29 of those with McDowell & Associates.  

Joe has been a part of McDowell & Associates' success since the company was created in 1978.  Joe has served as Drilling Operations Manager for McDowell & Associates for 21 of those years and has over 42 years of experience with subsurface investigations throughout the Midwest.  In 1989, Joe was recognized by Dow Chemical for innovative drilling and sampling techniques.

M.S., P.E., Civil Engineering-Soil Mechanics
Bob is a registered Professional Engineer in five states, including Michigan.  He holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from Central Michigan University.  Bob founded McDowell & Associates in 1978 with the initention to provide practical solutions to real problems and he has done so since 1978.  All told, Bob has over 50 years of Geotechnical Engineering experience and was recognized in 1992 as the "Outstanding Civil Engineer" by the American Society of Professional Engineers Southeast Michigan Branch.

Brian received his Engineering Degree from Lawrence Technological University. He manages the Construction Material Testing Department and AASHTO Materials Research Laboratory (AMRL) Accreditations. He has over 25 years working in the construction industry, 15 of those years with McDowell & Associates. Brian's experience ranges from single home residential construction to WWTP Pump Station 2A in Detroit, Michigan and the Metro Airport Runway Expansion. He holds over 15 Certifications associated with ACI, AWCI, ICC, MDOT, MIM, NCMA and NRMCA.

Doug is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan and holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering from Wayne State University.  Doug has been the Environmental Manager since coming on board with McDowell 16 years ago.  Since 1993, he provided senior review on over 4,000 environmental projects.

John Lamb, III has over 30 years experience in the engineering field.  He received his Civil Engineering Degree, as well as completing Graduate Studies in Geotechnical Engineering from Wayne State University, is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan as well as a Certified Underground Storage Tank Professional.  John has been working with McDowell & Associates for 22 years as a Senior Geotechnical/Environmental Engineer.

Erik manages the day-to-day operations of the Midland office, scheduling, overseeing and reviewing the field work and reports. He handles most of the environmental work completed out of the Midland office and assists the Ferndale office on projects throughout the state. Erik has a B.S. in Environmental Conservation from Northern Michigan University and has been with McDowell since 2001.

Mike is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan. He oversees much of the construction testing, laboratory testing, drilling and engineering completed out of the Midland office. Mike has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University and has been with McDowell since 2005.

 Jennifer has over 10 years experience with McDowell & Associates in the Environmental Department, working on all aspects of environmental due diligence and redevelopment projects. Jennifer achieved her Masters Degree in Industrial Hygiene from Wayne State University in 2004 and is also a Certified Hazardous Materials Manger (CHMM). Jennifer also holds numerous State of Michigan Certifications including Asbestos Building Inspector and Management Planner, Lead-Based Paint Inspector and Risk Assessor, and Storm Water Operator for Construction and Industrial sites.
